The human body is a beautiful instrument. Given the right environment and with educated guidance, the body can heal most painful conditions. However, secondary complications can arise from untreated primary injuries. More often than not, the average person will try to self treat or try to disassociate themselves from the pain. “Mind Over Matter.” Unfortunately, pain is a physiological response that tells your body that something is wrong. And when the condition is left untreated, the condition worsens and in some cases, becomes irreversible.

At the initial visit, your Physical Therapist will create an individualized plan of care tailored to meet the requests of your physician, as well as meet your specific needs and goals. At PMPT, we will guide you through the process of attaining realistic physical goals to help you get back to the things you love and activities you enjoy.
We utilize a combination of manual therapy techniques reinforced with practical exercise, stretching applications, and patient education. It is important to have a detailed understanding on how the human body moves and what physiological changes happen during the healing process.
It is our responsibility to sort through the convoluted symptoms and prepare the individual for recovery. We are proactive in educating and making recommendations to our patients to assist them to return to normal daily life activities. Recovery is a TEAM effort and we strongly urge the individual to participate in their own recovery. We rely heavily on the Individual and their Physician to construct a strong Team to help the individual regain their health and well being. We will work closely with the patient’s physician in identifying the pathology and devise a plan of care to return the individual to their normal daily life activities. We will utilize a sport-specific or work-specific training regiment with each individual to decrease potential for re-injury and move towards Perpetual Motion.
